As many of you know in the past we have had many different Japanese maple cultivars for sale. This year is no exception.
    One group we have offers many of the “newest” selections for $55 to $95, and another group in the $100 to $195 range. There are a few japonicums new to me: Attaryi and Giant Moon, and many enticing palmatums: Akaji nishiki, Beni gasa, Red Cloud, Red Crusader, and Summer Sunset. There are also nice examples of other favorites like Chantilly Lace, Jiro shidare, Shishigashira, and Ueno yatsubusa (see Plant Profiles).
     There is a good selection of larger specimens in #15 pots and in the ground. Whether or not you are looking for a new plant, this is a great time of year to appreciate the diversity Japanese maples offer.
